Design
Surrey Oak Barns offer conceptual design advice at the early stage of your project to ensure the initial brief can be developed and the optimum solution can be achieved regarding design, location and budget consideration.
Planning
We advise that you obtain written clearance of planning permission from your local planning authority at the earliest stage of your project, and this is something that we are able to do for you.
Building Regulations
All our buildings are designed to comply with current building regulations and we are happy to liaise with your local authority building control department or use a contracted consultant building inspector throughout the process.
Construction
Surrey Oak Barns own skilled craftsmen assemble the barns, which means you are assured of the highest level of quality and co-ordination that comes from years of experience in both project management and construction.
Structural Engineering
We employ independent structural engineers to verify our oak barns. They design the foundations and provide the necessary calculations to support the design for onward submission to building control.
Groundwork
The structural design and the quality of the groundwork is key to the success and durability of any building. We carry out the installation of the foundations, brickwork and oversites to the satisfaction of the local authority building control department and structural engineer’s specification.
Roofing
Our skilled team are experienced in all aspects of roof construction. We offer a variety of finishes in new or reclaimed tiles, slate or cedar shingles. All our roof coverings are carefully selected to match if necessary any existing property.
Internal Finishes
The versatility of our bespoke oak framed buildings creates huge opportunity to utilize the space for habitable accommodation. The oak structure can be manufactured to facilitate any use.
Driveways & Landscaping
Surrey Oak Barns will undertake the construction of retaining walls and boundary fencing, any associated driveway modifications and installation of fencing and gates, as part of the project; all finished in a material of your choice.
